A Collaboration with Dani's Custom Designs

It started with a simple conversation.
Daniella had favorited one of my paper sandwiches and I struck up a conversation about having more paper available.
She needed sheet music for a specific commission piece and did I have anything like that?

But of course!

I had a box of sheet music in the basement that I only vaguely knew the contents of.  Amazingly enough, I had the perfect paper for her French inspired dressmaker's mannequin!
The sheet music cover above, became the focal point of the dress below.

Daniella of Dani's Custom Designs (etsy) does beautiful work.
And I am honored to be a small part of it.
She also has amazing inspiration on her Pinterest!
Do visit her!

Tell her I sent you. :)

And if there's anything you are specifically looking for,
don't hesitate to ask me.
I may have it in my basement!

A Short Story

When we demolished our deck to rebuild it,
we discovered these sunglasses and the driver's side door
of a Karmenn Ghia...

When we built the new deck,
we stowed the car door beneath it for later rediscovery.

Jell-O for Breakfast

Our son is on the road with Dad this week, so it's just us girls.
Today we had fruited Jell-O for breakfast,
just because we could!
Last night we ate late and decided French toast sounded good.
There were no men around to demand meat and potatoes,
so why not?
We've also been watching chick flicks.
First "No Reservations", starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart, a faithful re-do of the foreign film, "Mostly Martha" (Bella Martha).
I highly recommend it.
A great movie with a glass of wine.
A few hours later we consumed "Leap Year", starring Amy Adams and Matthew Goode.
Lots of beautiful Irish countryside.
Although I can't see how Amy Adams did it in 3 inch heels ("$600 shoes").

The Girls Week continues today with lunch at a friend's house and another movie this afternoon.
I am loving summer vacation!

What are you doing this week?
