Blooms as Promised

Last week you got a peek of a Christmas cactus in my studio, with tiny buds.
I am blessed with a plant that blooms twice a year; especially blessed because I neglect it.

I rarely water it, have not fed it in over a year and it's probably root bound.
It's a survivor.

The second blooming is not as grand a display as the first time (fewer flowers),
but in the middle of January, with the temperature below freezing outside,
it's a beautiful sight nonetheless.
*********
I hope you have something to delight in today.

I lost my Christmas cactus in a long time power outage...so I miss witnessing a miracle of the blooms. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

They are lovely when they bloom... my MIL used to have baskets and baskets of them but for the life of me I can't think of when they used to bloom... must make a note to ask her... great photos....xx

Beautiful blossoms ... some things obviously like/need to be neglected ;)
So grateful here to have a warm cozy house ... I bought a pot of Tete a Tete mini daffodils ... it will be a treat when they grow up and bloom :)
Stay warm Missy!

Beautiful, bright blooms! I think this plant thrives on neglect.
