Tea With a Little Spice

The weather here, just west of central Missouri, has been unseasonably warm for autumn.

But this morning is cooler and the weatherman has predicted even cooler temps by the end of this week.

Hurray!

So I am responding by adding some powdered chai tea (creamy and spicey) to my black tea this morning instead of just milk.

That is an abandoned cinnamon toaster pastry on my saucer.

Do you eat up after your kids like I do?

No?

That's probaly how you stay slimmer than me. :)

My husband has warned me that I will turn into a "plumpkin".

At least it doesn't sound as bad as just "getting fat".

About my cup and saucer-- they aren't matching, but it made me smile when I saw how the saucer's rose motif reflected onto the teacup, so they appear to be a matched set.

And speaking of plumpkins, here's our four legged one with fur.

Cats aren't the only ones who enjoy a patch of sunlight.

It's just that Lucy requires a larger patch.

(She's a St. Bernard.)

heehee
Hard to be stressed when the dog obviously doesn't have a care in the world.
She doesn't worry about her weight.

Today I won't worry about mine.

More spiced tea please!

I had to go back and look again at that "unmatched" cup and saucer. What a perfect way to reflect on their differences.

My fur baby is still suffering from the heat of this summer and is quite skinny for him. I expect he'll plump up in a few weeks, if the weather ever cools here. I'm hoping for cooler weather like you are experiencing, but right now, it's still quite warm during the day. Have a super tea Tuesday.

My daughter made me a wooden rack years ago that has some sheep painted on it....it says...Ewe's not fat, ewe's fluffy! :) Enjoyed having tea with you today.

being a plumpkin you can at least say you're seasonal lol.. and yes I finish all my kids food and only feel guilt when I can't do my pants up, like now...

Um, yeah, I clean up after my kids just like that ... But they would never leave a half eaten pop tart :)

Your chai tea looks yummy - I will have to get some of that powder - that's a great idea

And your dog and my dog look like they have about the same energy level - zero to slow in about five minutes

Happy Tuesday!

YES ...I thought I was the only one who cleans up after my children and now my grand children. Hello...I am trying to quit ...but you know how that feels. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Plumpkin...too cute. I'm doing me best not to become any more "plumpkin like." I don't clean up after the kids unless it's pancakes. I can't resist them...but they rarely leave any on the plate...or else I rarely make them. One or the other. :)
Chai is my favorite! Makes me think that I should keep my chai powder near the coffee maker and I could add a little to my morning coffee...hmmm..ideas!

I thought the cup and saucer were a match. LOL. Wouldn't have known otherwise if you hadn't mentioned it. :)

Am having a mug of tea myself. I like mine with condensed milk and a cube of turbinado sugar. My mug holds two cups worth. It makes for a longer tea break. No one has to know it's to full at the start. ;)

I truly like your four leg pumpkin.

Clean up the kids plates all of the time. Between my husband and I it usually gets eaten. Sometimes if we go out to eat, I don't order and just eat what they don't. I miss you in the blog world but I'm glad your days are full and you seem happy!
