Compulsive Collecting #138 (It's Tea Tuesday!)

I don't know which I found first, the cup....

Or the saucers.

Or maybe the collection started with this sugar bowl.

In any event, I found this creamer only last week.

It's only taken me about 5 years (maybe even longer!) to amass this collection of matching crockery, from garage sales and thrift stores, but cost me less than $1.00 total!

And that's the thrill of the hunt!

Cheers!

You find the best pieces, even if they do take forever to amass. And your thrift stores and garage sales are SO MUCH cheaper than the ones I go to. The cup alone would be $2.00 and the creamer or sugar bowl would be $5.00. The rationale: these pieces get broken faster than something without handles or replacement pieces. Looks like we both brought out the "old stuff" today! Happy Tea Tuesday.

Very pretty. It's the thrill of the hunt when collecting anything I guess. Happy Tea day and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

That's amazing! Amazing that you found everything ... And amazing that you held the pattern in your head to know you needed to grab it up.

Now off to see what your other collecting posts are ..... Fun!

P.s. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I think I have one of those teacups! If you ever break one, you know where to find another.

Ok, you aren't going to want to hear this...maybe I won't tell you. But, by not saying I feel like I'm lying. Here goes. I have a whole set of this pattern. Kind of rough in places but they have been our "special" dishes. Then I found some grey rose dishes and now they share the cupboard.
Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for you my blogging friend!
