No, not a virus. A bug. A lady bug. My studio is crawling with them. Rebecca befriends them and plays with them to death, but their population is never diminished. This is the middle of winter. What do they eat? Dust bunnies? No wonder they are thriving!
Yeeeesh! At this magnification, my keyboard looks like it needs serious deep cleaning! Where IS that cleaning faerie?

OhMy...is that the Good Lady bug or the bad kind? They say Reds are good and yellows are bad...True???
We always get ladybirds in my littlest girl's room, I like to think they're a bit magic (though maybe I'm just strange!!!)

PS I highly recommend black keyboards ;)
Oh I can feel your bugs! Actually we stayed at a B&B this summer and the innkeeper had to keep vacumming the lady bugs, she would tip them back outside. They ARE supposed to be good luck....so sound like you have lots! :)
I had to sleep with cotton in my ears, but that's another story teehee!
lady bugs now??
I would take that as a sign of somekind of blessing and run wild with it !!!
That's my Lady Luck right now too. LOL I love lady bugs, there one of the few bugs/insects I do like. LOL
Hugs, Ashlyn
Superb picture, even technoid DH says you should be trying to sell this image to Microsoft!!
Nathalie, this is so hilarious. The photo is wonderful!
hahaha Yes...black keyboards. The one I have right now is gray...but anything is better than white or beige. Maybe you could paint it? It's a good Ladybug!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news... not ladybugs but beetles of some sort (these are orange, not true red) and they do bite -- I didn't believe DH but my exterminator confirmed that for me!!
Too early for these little ones in Michigan, but I know they'll pop by in a few months. At this point, I welcome them because it means spring is here, but I may rethink that one!
Hello ~ in my wanderings, I arrived here and enjoyed some lighthearted chuckles. I love your humor... the dead and rotten quote... the colossal celery and raw edges... Just what I needed to brighten a chilly, less than exciting afternoon!
This is the bad kind! They bite.
And they smell horrid if you accidentally smoosh them. These are lady beetles. And they aren't so ladylike at all.
That photo is great. I love your blog.
I know there are "bad lady beetles", but these seem harmless enough. They don't stink, haven't bitten any of us yet (and Rebecca handles them constantly) and their worst offense is that they litter up my baseboards with their little dead bodies. haha. They are cuter than cockroaches and quieter than house flies.
Stay tuned for a new post. Insect free and hopefully with clean household surfaces! :)
