I'm In Print!

I have been loooong anticipating the latest issue of Somerset Studio (May/June-- the "Fearless" issue) because I submitted a piece of art for it back in December.

I never got a congratulatory email or letter from them, so when I got the magazine in my mailbox today, my heart fell. It did not say "comp" above my mailing address, so I could only assume that I did not make it. I half heartedly thumbed through the magazine over a lunch of leftover spaghetti. As I was nearing the back of the magazine, I browsed quicker-- I still have boxes to unpack and couldn't linger too much longer but right about then I almost choked on my pasta.

There on page 117 was my fly screen tag with bees wax and scissors!!!!!!!! (I am using a photo from an old post since I am still not set up for taking pictures and posting my photos-- this is my daughter's computer I'm on now).
WoooHooo!

My second time in print!

OH yea YOU!!! The same thing happened to me with Somerset Studio and the moment you spy your work of art, yes, your heart just drops! I love this piece of art that your created! Doing the snoopy dance for you. And if I didn't tell you, got your coaster but haven't done anything with it yet, since I know you are buried up to your waist in boxes. Hugs, my BFF

Hooray for you!!!

Great news and well deserved. This was brilliant artwork and it will fit in beautifully amongst the rest of the gorgeous stuff in Somerset Studio.

xx
ps I too haven't yet done anything with the coasters, sorry. I will get onto it but have a 'to do' list as long as my arm and then I keep on getting distracted:0(

Congratulations! No, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I was just emailing with a blog friend about our hopes of being published someday! I can see why this tag was chosen! It's cheeky and fun and creative!! Now, please tell me about the first time you were published. I will be buying this issue for sure now!

Oh, So very happy for you!!! I am so behind and have so much to fill in with words to you... um, let me see... Sorry. So so sorry you have been sick, but hope you are quickly on the mend soon. Congrats on the new home move. and, Congrats on this lovely news!! I have wanted to try sending something to Somerset, but when I have gone over to see how to submit something, i have been discouraged by what seems like a lot of red tape. Where in the world would my art fit in? Anyhow... still debating, and trying to build up the courage to just do it, but until then, rejoicing in your accomplishment. So happy for you!! :-)

Congratulations are in order for your second publication. This is one wonderful tag, and I'm completely impressed with it. Way to go, even if you did take time between undoing boxes to find it.

yay!! how exciting, though I can certainly see why they chose your piece! Can't imagine how you've had time to art, let alone blog with a move! I've been offline for weeks - lots of catching up to do!
I'll make sure to find your page in SM:)

Congratulations! So well deserved -- I knew the first time I saw those that this was really a special kind of technique. And I'm so glad it was recognized!
