Tea and Laundry

The kids are back to school which means I can enjoy complete and utter solitude,

even while doing the most mundane things.

A pot of tea also helps.
And the DVR.

Okay, so the DVR does not contribute to the solitude,

but it does make folding laundry go faster.

So today I am watching "Auction Kings"

(old episodes I missed the first time they aired),

sipping tea,

and folding laundry.

Drinking tea always helps me calm down and make order of the chaos in my life.

Mission accomplished, today!

If only all the messy things in life could be so easily folded and neatly put away!

I am so with you on tackling the laundry!! "make it fun and get it done"

Right now I"m working my way through the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series while I fold and iron!

I know exactly what you mean. Even folding laundry needs focusing power and uninterrupted concentration - at least of the under 13 variety :)

Two more weeks for me :)

A toast to tea in the midst of chaos!

We don't have 'Auction Kings' in the UK so I clicked on your link - I can understand why you'd fold your linen while watching Paul, although don't you drool over your clean laundry?!

Tea makes everything better.

Auction Kings...LOVE THEM!!!
my 2 oldest grandkids start school tomorrow!!!..still not peaceful as the 3 yo is here..but,2 less makes it a bit easier..but,ick..then the homework!! I HATE HOMEWORK!! ALREADY DID IT WITH MY KIDS!!!!THEY HAVE A LOT IN MY OPINION..SHOULDN'T TAKE ALMOST 2 HRS TO DO IT ALL..seems like the teacher wants homework to teach, not reinforce what they learned that day!!
just finished getiing their clothes ready for tomorrow!! backpacks are ready..clothes are ready..snacks to put in lunchboxes..then i'm done!!!!..honesty, at 57 it's not as fun as when I was younger!!!

Oh how I also wish everything could be folded and put away. Heck if my laundry could all make it out of the laundry room would be nice. I'm happy you had a peaceful day!

Sorry I'm late getting here this week. I had to laugh at the laundry. I bet that is a chore with a family. Thankfully, Bleubeard has only one outfit and he keeps it clean. And in the summer, I hang my laundry on the clothes line and it more or less irons and folds itself. But I agree about the messy things in life. Nice philosophy.
