Happy Valentine's Day!

My 6 year old has the cutest foot wear and can get away with wearing whatever she wants to in public. Today I suggested she wear a red velveteen/ velur skirt and top to which she added a Disney princess crown. She can carry it off.
She is passing out Disney princess Valentines in her kindergarten class today, so she is completely in theme!
Since my Honey is back on the road today, truckin',
(a load of styrofoam cups bound for Texas)
it's just me and the kids.
May make heart shaped hamburgers for dinner.
Or heart shaped pancakes and sausage
(I love breakfast for dinner!)
What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

When the kids were home I did things like you are doing. Now it's just me and my DH. We still enjoy Valentine's day with surprises and little things that are fun. I put a handmade card this morning hidden in his lunchbox along with a giant chocolate kiss. He will find it on his first break at work most likely. Then he will call me at home. Never know what the rest of the day will bring as he is the love of my life.

My sweetie and I will go out for a nice lunch at one of our favorite restaurants! The kids are grown and married.....so those days are behind us....enjoy them, Nathalie!

As my husband works shifts there have been many years that he hasn't been home for Valentine's Day, but he will be here this evening.

We're having a delicious 3 course meal for 2 + choccies (have you heard of the UK's Marks and Spencers? Posh nosh at low prices! )in the dining room, all candles and soft music, while the kids will enjoy the treat of their tea in front of the tv.

I slipped the card for my sweet Valentine into his uniform pile, so he found it when he unpacked it all at work.

Enjoy your heart shaped food with your kids - sounds fun.

Your 6 year old's shoes are darling!

I don't understand why we can't all dress like princesses! We are just having a regular dinner, but I'm going to make 5 little lava cakes for us and we have plans to watch "Chocolat" together ..... Or the Chronicles of Narnia .... Haven't quite decided.
