Counting the Days: Day 1

I decided that this year's "advent calendar" on my blog would be a daily ornament post.
I am very sentimental about the baubles and chatchkes that hang on our tree.
And each has a story.
Some are more exciting or interesting than others, but you can be the judge.
So welcome to my Ornament Anecdotes.
Day 1
My great aunt had hand painted, blown glass, ornaments like this one.
I remember them from visiting her house once as a kid (1960s, if you must know!)
Mine came from the thrift store, I think.
And I don't know if I have but the one.

Love the old ornaments- I only put up 2 small trees this year - but as I come across all the old ornaments, I keep thinking I should put up a big tree!!!!

Great idea for December posts! I'm looking forward to it. I love those ornaments! I have a few...I don't hang them on the tree..I put them in a bowl. I worry about them breaking..which they are probably more likely to do with me handling them in the bowl all the time. ha!

I'm catching up to your daily ornaments, so wanted to start with day 1. Yep, my grandmother had some of these, too. Wish I still had them. I don't even own one!
